Situated outside of Historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Gettysburg Center provides Transitional Care, ShortStay Rehabilitation and LongTerm Care. The Center has 10 Private rooms/suites with dining nooks. Our rehabilitation gym was also enlarged and received a full makeover including brand new, state-of-the-art equipment.

Suzette Brandt
AdministratorSuzette is a graduate of Shippensburg University earning a bachelor's degree in social work. She continued her education at Temple University receiving her Master's degree in Healthcare Administration. She has been with Genesis since 2024. She has 25 years of long term care experience as a nursing home administrator.
Delores Elicker-Brehm
Admissions DirectorDelores Elicker-Brehm is the Admissions Director at Gettysburg Center. She has been with Genesis since 2024. Delores has 9 years experience working in long term care and many more years prior to that volunteering in long term care. Her working years started in HR and transitioned to marketing. While volunteering, it was mostly with activities.
Debra Crouse
Rehabilitation DirectorDeb Crouse is the Director of Rehab for Powerback rehab at Gettysburg Center. She has been with Genesis/Powerback since 2022 and transitioned to the role of Director last year, bringing 12 years of director experience and 31 years as a physical therapist assistant. Deb is a graduate of Penn State University, Mont Alto. She has always been a caregiver at heart and loves seeing resident's progress during their rehab stay and being a part of their success.
Vanessa Patterson
Director of NursingVanessa Patterson is the Director of Nursing at Gettysburg Centers. She has been brightening Genesis with her smile and sense of humor since 2006. Starting as a CNA, she went to school and received her Associates degree in nursing in 2017 from HACC Gettysburg Campus. Most recently transitioned into the role of DON on March of 2025. She has wanted to pursue nursing ever since her Grandmother was diagnosis with Kidney disease. She feels that taking care of others is her true calling and passion.
OutComes
W.R. is an 84 year old past patient who was admitted for rehabilitation after a total knee replacement. Upon admission, W.R. needed assistance with all aspects of ADL's, transfers, and ambulation. Upon discharge to home with his wife, he was completely independent with everything. Regarding his positive outcome, W.R. commented " This is a wonderful Skilled Nursing Facility. All the Nurses and Therapy staff are skilled and well trained to take care of the residents. They are most friendly and nothing seems to be to much trouble for them to do. Everything is kept clean, I give this facility an AAA+++ rating!"
